What is your plan for this week?
When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
Sunday is the perfect day to start off on a good foot, get into the right mindset, and take action!
Write down 5 things you want to do daily to work towards your mental/spiritual/physical fitness – it can be big or small just start off with something.
1)Workout daily – 30 mins cardio
2)Healthy Eating/Meal Prep for the day
3)Read one chapter each night from current choice of book
4)Drink 8-10 glasses of water
5)Take my vitamins daily
If your list is anything like mine, you will probably notice that all of these 5 things you are looking to accomplish will form a little concept called: “habits”.
Habits are the things you will do daily (Example: brushing your teeth 2x per day, after every meal, or never) that will promote either a healthy lifestyle, or a poor health lifestyle. It can make all the difference.
Each week 5 daily habits will be your main focus, the following week you add 5 more. In one month you could may have identified 20 new habits or reformed habits you would like to have.
This is more changes than most people can make in one year.
Don’t be alarmed, if you don’t see that your action is yet becoming a habit (doing something without thinking about why you do it), put it back on the list. It has been documented that it takes approximately 3 weeks to master a new habit or recreate a bad habit.
The whole idea is to be more conscious of the things we do daily, and see how they affect our life in the next month, 6 months, next year, and the years to come.
Why does it matter? Habits are the foundations of our daily lives. If you want a certain result, then you must create certain habits to take action to obtain and maintain that result.
Ever look at a successful person and wonder what they know that you don’t?
I can assure you they aren’t anymore special or have a greater purpose then you.
